I'll Never Get Used to......

So I've been at the new job now for almost 2 months and I will say that I am completely and utterly in love with my job!! I am sooo fortunate because SO SO SO many people out there can't say that about there jobs.. I am a fortunate one. But though I love my job there are things I don't think I'll ever be able to get used to!

When I was first hired my bosses told me to possible expect anxiety attacks, stress, or sadness because all of the horrible things I would be reading, hearing, and seeing. These are things that have happened to the children I work with. What makes it really hard is that I get close to some of these kids and form attachments and I really feel for them, ya know? And no matter how great of a teacher I am to them and no matter how well I listen there problems with horrible pasts will never go away... And that makes me sad. Children should be allowed to remain children while growing up! They should be able to experience a carefree childhood with friends, laughs, and fun!!

Here are 3 of the top things I don't think I'll ever get used to while working within the hospital:

*The blarring sound of the panic button and then the aftermath...

*The smell of hospital food...

*Having to unlock ever door I want to get in to, even the bathroom...

Condo UPDATE

Eecck...!!!! So the real estate broker for the people who's house we want to buy told our broker that they had other people looking at their place.. Now is that a ploy to get us to come up more in price or is it the truth? I don't know!! Now I feel like I have something to worry about!! And i don't like that feeling, in fact I HATE this feeling... I know I'm a newbie and inexperienced when it comes to the negotiating but I also obsess about all the little things and when it comes to something I want, somerhing thast I really, REALLY want you bet your bottom I'm going to have a hard time sleeping at night until we hear something!!
All I have to say is Poor Brian!
"Baby, I apologize ahead of time for all of the questions, all of the phone calls throughout the day, and all of the nagging I am going to do until we have an answer!"
If I hear anything I will let you guys know!!!!!

Bloggy Brain Block

I'm sitting here and looking into the blank space wondering what to write. And I got nothing! All I can think about it new washng machines and a new stove And new dining room table and sectional and paint colors, thats right don't forget about the paint colors.
I guess what I'm getting at is that I have new house syndrome and I don't even have a new house yet! I'm trying not to get too excited cause we all know that anything could happen. We could not agree on a price or someone else could swoop in and take the place, or something could happen, anything could happen! But I will admit that I am so looking forward to this next journey in my life. Having a house with Brian, a house of our own is just soo much better!! And I want it so bad.
One thing I am not good with is this whole real estate game. I'm not good at it. I am an upfront person and I hate this back and forth waiting, negotiating game. I just want it and I want it now.
Since this is my 1st experience wit h buying something I don't really know what to expect. Brian says it could take weeks, months!! And I am sooooo hoping we can make a deal and close by May 1st! I'd love to be in the new place and start renovating so by mid summer it will be somewhat up and running...
Once we close and get in there the only thing that's stopping me is $$.. We know what we want as far as colors, floors, appliances, and furniture goes it's just saving and doing one thing at a time... That's my plan at least! Focus on one room at a time and go from there....
So do you own or rent your home? Do you have a house, condo, townhouse? How long was the buying process for you? I'm like a sponge ready to take it in....

Fun and Exciting Stuff

So I've been so busy this week because Brian and I have decided to put an offer in on buying our 1st place. We have found this really cute, affordable condo close to both of our works!!! It is a 2 bedroom 2 full bath condo. It does need a lot of work but lucky for me Brian is a general contractor with a ton of talent and a wonderful eye for design.
Here is a sketch Brian made of the place.

So anyway, we have made an offer and we are back and forth negotiating with the sellers to hopefully get the best price we can. And as of right now it's pretty much a waiting game - I'm just hoping we can make a deal and close by mid April. Oh my gosh I am sooooo excited and sooooo nervous! This could be such a GREAT great thing for Brian and I.

We have been shopping online and browsing for all the things we want to do and want to get. We found the hard wood floors, and a new couch, and new cabinets and counter tops, etc!!! What we are going to do IF we get the place is just to take it one step at a time and focus on one room then move on to the next.

I do have some photos I'll post later this week but to be honest the phots do not even do it justice! It looks soooo much nicer in person and besides we are going to redo the whole place.. Bye bye carpet and old kitchen HELLO gorgeous pad haha!!

So..... Say a prayer that things work out and we get this place. I just have such a good, no GREAT feeling about it. I've already started this new year off with an amazing new job what better way to continue the year with my 1st condo. I just have such a great feeling that this is going to be a wonderful year for me - for both Brian and I!!

I will keep you posted and update you with any news I get from my Broker. This week I was so crazy back and forth with appointments and meetings! But I'm back baby!! ready to post and comment! I missed out on my Blogging outlet this week. It truly does keep me sane!!!

Happy Monday All!!
