Tasty Tuesdays

Welcome to another edition of Tasty Tuesday! For another great recipe please visit New Mommy Rant!

In preparation for summer I thought I'd post a recipe for the BEST Party Sangria!

Ingredients:
1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz)

1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Orange cut into wedges
1 Lime cut into wedges
2 Tbsp sugar
Splash of orange juice
2 Shots of gin
1 Cup of sliced strawberries or raspberries (may use thawed or frozen)
1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice)
4 Cups ginger ale

Preparation:

Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice. However, remember that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the frig. - allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other.

1. I LOVE to cook - it's probably one of my greatest passions. I wish I had a big house so I could have dinner parties all of the time! I always wanted to go to culinary school to become a chef!

2. Blogging and being on the computer.. I just love to be on the computer! I love to check my Blog and read my friends Blog's; it's a definite passion!

3. Brian - ofcourse! Gotta throw some love towards the BF!!

4. Talking on the phone - I could talk on the phone for hours.. It is so nice to have a great converstation.

5. Watching good movies - nothing better then getting invloved in a great flick!

6. Sex! 'nuff said, LOL...

7. Organization - I have a passion for keeping everything orgainzed; especially in my classroom! I bet my student's think I'm nuts!

8. Spending time with my friends & family! That is when I am the happiest!

Eight Things I'd Like to do Before I Die:

1. Get married and have a baby!

2. Travel to and spend an extended period of time in Italy & Hawaii.

3. Buy my dream house!

4. Stay overnight in Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom.

5. Make my own wine.

6. Be in a TV show or movie!

7. Take Dance Lessons - not the cheezy kind where you instrucotr is an old guy! The kind where my dance instructor would be a total hottie - like Maks!

8. Be satisifed with my life!
