29 Yikes!!

Where did my Twenties go? I can hardly believe that 29 years have already gone by!!! I've been going through something lately, something I like to call an early life crisis! I guess I had different plans for myself. I always expected would have had a better job earlier on and that maybe i'd be married with a kid or 2. I always thought I'd be married by the time I was 24, at least that's what I thought when I was a teenager! But we all know plans change and things def don't happen as we plan... So I guess I'm a little upset that my twenties are pretty much gone and that 30 is right around the corner.
I've realized that I'm letting people get to me... People on the outside of my relationship and life... And that's what's effecting me, and it shouldn't and now I know better!! I know I've touched on this topic before but some people just don't know how or when to keep their mouth shut! People don't realize things they say, even little insignifcant things can be hurtful! I think it's really, really important for people to think before they speak, because you never know what influence your words can have on others and their feelings and thoughts! I just thought I'd throw that out there!!
As for me - I'm happy and that's all that matters!!

I'll tell you nothing has gone how I thought it would growing up. Crazy how that is huh? You look awesome!!! I'm sorry for those that have gotten to you. Definitely need to think before we speak.

I went through a phase like that... when you realize that everything you thought was going to happen, just isn't. Once I got past it I realized that life is life and it's so worth living in the moments you have and not the moments you wish you had

hang in there...I nthink your 20's were pretty amazing. People will never hold their tongues. I am always getting comments on the choices I make with Eliza that hurt my feelings but I brush it off. Don't let other get to you.

People have a way of getting under our skin, no matter how we may try to block them out -- continue to be happy with yourself, and do for you -- that's the best revenge!

I went through this (and still feel like I am). There is something about the number 30 that scares us. :) But don't let anyone get you down. You are fabulous and they are just jealous!!! XOXO

I thought our 20s were great & I hear that 30 is the new 20 so we get to start all over again next year :)

I totally know what you mean when life doesn't go according to your plan. If you would have told me that my life would have turned out the way it is now (no kid, no dog, no money, hubby in school again) I would have said no way!! But here I am...living that exact life.

I think that everything happens for a reason & when you get what you want, you will appreciate it so much more because you had to wait for it.

Also people need to learn how to mind their own business and keep their comments to themselves! But that probably won't happen so try not to let their stupid opinions get to you.

Live up the ripe age of 29! I'm
sure you'll be an awesome 29 year
old! Smoooch.

And come on...30 won't be so bad either. Just think...30, flirty and thriving!

The important thing is to celebrate your birthday with the ones you love and just forget about all those other crazies out there. People will always say and do the darndest things and it's up to us to just ignore them or not take it seriously.

Well you don't look a day older than 22 ;)
I had a tough time at 27 for some reason I remember wondering what I was here to do, getting frustrated that I was getting older and in the same place but now that I am 32 I am loving it, there is something different when you get to your thirties can't put my finger on it other than I just feel more comfortable being me!
Happy birthday!!!

maybe life didn't go according to 'plan' but you are a gorgeous, successful, happy woman. That sounds pretty great to me. :) You have a wonderful man in your life and you have great friends. Those people who say hurtful things could only wish to have as great a life as you! Hang in there- 30's aren't so bad (take it from a 30 something girl)

Dana, I know exactly what you are talking about because I've definitely been in that position too. It was extremely tough to always be asked when i was going to marry my ex...
