A Review and A GIVEAWAY

So I was recently in touch with the lovely Michelle from Skoy and she gave me some of the Skoy Cloths to review. And let me tell you i love, love, L.O.V.E. them. They are soooooo my new favorite household item. If you're like me and trying to be conservative and "go green" then these fabulous products are for you! The Skoy cloth can pick up liquids fifteen times its own weight which is certainly better than those thin paper towels.

The SKOY cloth is a fabulous, absorbent, biodegradable and natural multi-use cloth. The Skoy Cloth is perfect in your kitchen, bathroom, and on most surface areas in your home or office. The SKOY cloth can be used in place of your sponge, wash cloth or paper towels. And what I love most is that 1 Skoy Cloth is equivalent to using 15 rolls of paper towels. Brian and I were using sooooo many papertowels, but know that I've been using the Skoy Cloth I had cut back considerably.

The SKOY cloth has an absorption factor of 15x its own weight. As a result, producing the most superior cloth product available. Imagine using 15 sheets of good-quality paper towels at once… This is how a wet SKOY cloth will feel in your hand.

The SKOY cloth is long-lasting because of the wash ability feature. It dries quickly, so it is not a breeding ground for bacteria. Have you ever used your sponge, then smelled your hand and it reeked of horrible bacteria? That will never happen again if you microwave your SKOY cloth regularly. It is also dishwasher and washer/dryer safe. Cleaning your SKOY cloth will keep it healthy and germ-free.

Wet your SKOY cloth before using. Be sure to squeeze out the excess water for optimal absorption.

I've used it with some of my favorite Cleaners but also found that it worked awesome when wiping down with just water.

Also, when I used Dish Soap on mine or a Cleaning Solution, I made sure to rinse it very well so it wouldn't leave a residue while I was cleaning!!
These Skoy Cloths are great to start off with in the kitchen and then after awhile you can move them on to the bathroom or other household uses.

The SKOY can be cleaned in your dishwasher and is washer and dryer safe . I've used both the dishwasher and washing machine but found that I liked the Washing Machaine much better... I prefered the spin cycle.

Another option to keep your SKOY cloth germ-free is to microwave it daily when damp for 1-2 minutes. And at $5.99 for a 4 Pack you can't beat that, especially with how expensive paper towels are these days.... And if you're thinking "i could never give up papertowels" I thought the EXACT SAME THING!! But with these Skoy cloths it makes it super easy!!

There will be 3 Winners for this Giveaway. Each winner will recieve a 4 pack of Skoy Cloths.

Super Size Me

So last night I previewed Super Size Me because I'm showing it in school today. I'm having the kids create their own menus for the days as if they were able to buy or eat anything from anywhere for 1 entire day. I'm curious to see how they would plan their meals.
Then I'm going to give them a list of Foods and the Calories and I'm going to have them add up their possible total calorie "intake" for the meals they planned for the day.
And then after that we are going to watch the Super Size Me Documentary so they can truly see the effects that Fast Food will and can have on your body.
I'm not saying that I NEVER eat french fries or an occasional McDonalds cheeseburger (once a year , I rarely every have fast food). I figured it could be something fun and interesting for the kids to watch...

Here is a brief overview of the movie:

What happens when you eat McDonald's for thirty days, three meals a day, super-sized when asked, widely sampling selections from the entire menu from Big Macs meals to yogurt parfaits, salads and fish filets? With a team of highly qualified doctors monitoring his health every step of the way, director Morgan Spurlock answers this question: your body falls apart.
Spurlock also has the perfect narrative hook: himself. Following in the tradition of Michael Moore, Spurlock is the narrative hero of his own film – and this is just fine. An articulate speaker, he is also a compassionate listener and a wonderful guide.

Super Size Me" is a terrific film that takes the seemingly not-so-sexy subjects of health, nutrition, and corporate greed and turns them into informative entertainment. Crisply edited, Spurlock's steady stream of meals at McDonalds are cut with interviews with his vegan chef girlfriend, his concerned nutritionists and doctors, fast food consumers, and corporate lobbyists.

A Good Movie - MILK

So I was very interested in seeing Milk, especially since Sean Penn won the Oscar for Best Actor. It was sure it be a winner right?

So it is a bit of a relief to report that Milk is an outstanding film, a vibrant and intelligent recreation of a very particular time and place that throbs with heart and humor and (occasionally) real anger and anguish. It's not a perfect film, to be sure, but it is a powerful one, regardless of what happened in California in November.
Sean Penn stars as Harvey Milk, a closeted Republican insurance man who hit 40 and realized that he had done nothing in his life that he "could be proud of." With his young, supportive boyfriend (James Franco) in tow, Milk grew out his hair and moved to San Francisco, where he settled into the predominately gay area around the Castro theatre. From his camera store, Harvey observed the homophobia of area police and even his neighbors, and, before he realized it, had become something of a (pardon the parallel) "community organizer," earning the nickname of "the mayor of Castro Street."
I thought it was a pretty good movie and recommend seeing it! I love watching movies that were based on Real Life events and Real People.. And this was a good one! Check it out! Sean Penn really deserved the Oscar, he did a great job! Well done Mr. Penn.....
Have you seen any good movies lately I can add to my Netflix Queue?

BumGenius Cloth Diaper Review

Hey there - it's Danielle from New Mommy Rant
I received this great bumgenius cloth diaper from Cotton Babies
. Check out there site - it's great!

My first diaper review will be of a bumGenius cloth diaper. That one on the cute little tush above to be exact. I heard a lot of great things about these diapers and I wanted to check them out. The company claims bumGenius is the cloth diapers for every day people because they are so easy to use. I relayed this important slogan to my mom. She laughed at me. Some people! This is the first cloth diaper I ever used.. Well I didn't realize that bumGenius came with an insert and a doubler and stupid me used only the doubler. I can laugh about it now. HA. I took Eliza on a long stroll with her bumGenius diaper. When we returned she had peed and soaked through her cloths and the car seat. OOOPS! However, this was totally my mistake. The next time I used the diaper I used the correct insert an NO Leakage. I have used the diaper since with great success.

What I Love
Velcro stretch-to-fit tabs make them as easy as disposables to close.
There are snaps in front that allow you to adjust the size of the diaper.
Fits babies 7 - 35lbs so you don't need new diapers as baby grows
Awesome color choices: Blossom, Butternut, Grasshopper,

Twilight & White

bumGenius makes a fast drying organic version of the diaper
I honestly can't think of any cons for this diaper. I am very happy with it so far. I guess I will have to wait and see how it hold up in the long run.
Cloth Diaper Grade: A+

Bedtime Routine
It must be comforting and predictable, may include books, songs, and their lovey. You need to switch their brain from alert to sleepy. If your child doesn't like part of the routine, such as putting on their pajamas or brushing teeth, do that first & get it over with.
Always put the baby down drowsy but awake. They need to learn how to fall asleep on their own.

In conclusion
Remember to take care of yourself. Review the information as many times as necessary and stick with it. Most children will take a few weeks to sleep train. Patience, consistency, and faith in your abilities to parent are the key!

Good night and sleep tight!!

Comfortable Camping

Camping is seriously sooo much fun! But I would say that it is more enjoyable with an air matress . I was recently thinking about purchasing a new, more comfortable one( to go along with my apartment like tent, lol) and came across this cool website all about the air matress. This website is a complete Air Mattress Buyer's Guide. Air mattresses are also good for other things besides camping. Maybe you're having someone stay over your house, maybe you're going to stay over a friend's house! I've also used it when we stayed at a hotel with one too many people in the room. They really do come in handy! You should check out this website if you're in need for one it has great tips like an air mattress price list, travel pillows, even bed sheeting.

Good Night, Sleep Tight - BOOK REVIEW Part 1

Hi everyone! Heather from New Mommy Rant here - I am so happy to be guest blogging for Dana today. She recently received the book "Good Night Sleep Tight" to do a review on and immediately thought of me to be the one to read it. This is probably because I have read more books on babies and children than most moms. The thing that's interesting about that is I don't have any kids! I am just excited to learn as much as possible so I will be prepared when the time comes. I also have many friends and family members with young children so I enjoy passing on what I learn to them. I absolutely recommend this book to any parent of a child with sleep issues. There is no need to leave your child alone crying for hours in the dark...that can be equally tough on the parents and the child. This book will teach you how you can help your child learn to put themselves to sleep. It is easier to break bad habits the younger your child is...but it's never too late!
**This review will be done in 2 parts**
Good Night, Sleep Tight
The Sleep Lady's Gentle Guide To Helping Your Child Go To Sleep, Stay Asleep, And Wake Up Happy
By Kim West with Joanne Kenen
Summary
The need for sleep is biological; however the ability to sleep is a learned skill. Some children need a little more help than others.
The Sleep Lady's method is gentle and uses a step by step routine...Baby will sleep more soundly and for longer periods of time leading to well rested baby and parents. 1 in 4 children under 5 have sleep problems.
The most common advice parents receive is to let the baby cry it out and they will eventually fall asleep on their own. It will work eventually but most parents have a problem tolerating it.
Most families can solve their bedtime problems within 2 weeks. Be patient...learning a new skill takes time. You might get less sleep at first but you need to give up all of the negative associations.
Make sure both parents are involved and a united front. Consistency is the key. Don't give mixed messages. Do the same thing every night, not just most of the time. Decide on a plan and stick with it.
The whole family needs good sleep. Everyone deserves it and benefits from it. Good sleep habits are learned…you must teach your children.
Co-sleeping: Some choose it for easy breast feeding and some just end up with it. Think about it before the baby is born...will you want them in your bed at age 2, 4, or 6? What if you have another baby?
Choose the right time to get started sleep training. You will need about 3 weeks without disruptions or major changes in routine (vacation, moving, new baby). The first night you start, make sure baby gets a good nap during the day so they aren't overtired.
Keep a log.
Bedtime Routine - must be comforting and predictable, may include books, songs, and their lovey. You need to switch their brain from alert to sleepy. If your child doesn't like part of the routine, such as putting on their pajamas or brushing teeth, do that first & get it over with.
Always put the baby down drowsy but awake. They need to learn how to fall asleep on their own.
Helpful Hints:
1. Most sleep problems are behavioral, but check with your child's doctor to rule out any physical problems that may be disturbing their sleep.
2. Get room darkening shades if your child wakes up too early or has trouble napping when it is light outside.
3. Use a night light.
4. Use a white noise machine if your home is loud.
5. If the parents like to see and hear the baby, get a video monitor.
6. If your child uses a pacifier, give it to them for naps and bedtime only. Leave several in their crib so they can find one and don't need you to come in and get it for them.
7. Do not put a tv in their room.
8. Make sure the same sleep rules apply all the time - at home, day care, with a babysitter, etc.
9. For less overnight diaper changes, use larger diapers with an insert or overnight diapers.
10. If your child's crying leads to vomiting, avoid feeding right before bedtime.
11. Have a morning ritual - reinforce their waking up by opening the blinds and turning on the lights.
12. If you are trying to stop or reduce overnight breast feeding - have dad put the baby down so they don't expect to be nursed.
13. If you need the crib for a new baby, older child's transition to a bed should be at least 2 months before the birth to avoid feelings of displacement.

Always remember that well rested children find it easier to sleep while overtired children have trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep.

Help your child soothe themselves by giving them some space...they often become dependent on the parents to rock, hold, snuggle, and nurse them.

Parents: remember that no one really sleeps through the night. Everyone has partial arousals from time to time. (This is waking up out of fairly light sleep to adjust your blanket or get a sip of water.) We can get right back to sleep because we know how to do that. Babies don't so we have to teach them. They will just wake up and cry for someone to put them back to sleep by nursing, rocking, pacifier, etc. We must help them give up this association so that when this happens they can soothe themselves with a blankie or stuffed animal, or suck their thumb and get themselves back to sleep.

After 6-8 weeks, babies will get their best sleep in a crib or bassinet...not a swing, stroller, or car seat. Motion may put them to sleep but their brain will never reach the level of complete restorative sleep if they are moving.

How to get the right start for newborns & infants: For the first 2 weeks, don't worry about rules and schedules. Focus on recovery from birth, feeding and getting to know your baby. Accept all of the help you can get from family & friends and don't worry about dirty dishes!
Beginning at 3 weeks old - Sleep Lady's 8 Rules
1. Create a flexible feeding and sleeping routine. Not an exact regimen, just a framework for eating/sleeping/awake time. Young babies like predictability and parents will be able to plan the day better. Most likely you will know what your baby needs when they cry because it will be time for either eating or sleeping. Use a simple log to keep track.
2. Encourage soothing techniques other than nursing. Babies will learn how to soothe themselves. After the first few months, you can try swaddling or swinging.
3. Offer a pacifier for soothing and sucking, but not as a sleep crutch. Get them used to falling asleep without something in their mouth. They can use for comfort or to calm down, but not to get to sleep. Start around 6 weeks; it will be a lot harder the longer you wait. If they spit it out, don't put back in right away. Your child may develop a habit of thumb or finger sucking which parents prefer because you can't lose or forget to bring it with you!
4. Sometimes feed your baby when he wakes up after a nap - not just when you are trying to get him to sleep. You do not want to develop a strong association between feeding and sleeping. Sometimes you should nurse when they get up. Try to do twice a day; the easiest times would be in the morning and their first nap. Don't try it at night first because they will be the most tired and fussy.
5. Put him down drowsy but awake at least once every 24 hours. After 4 weeks old, do this once a day. The morning nap should be the easiest to start with. At 6 weeks try with bedtime.
6. Introduce one bottle a day. Even if you are committed to nursing, introduce bottle by 2 or 3 weeks. This is just common sense preparation for unforeseen circumstances down the road. It's totally up to you if you want to use pumped milk or formula. This also gives dad a chance to feed the baby. Some people like to give formula at night to try and help the baby sleep longer (it takes longer to digest so it will be longer before they wake up hungry again).
7. Create a sleep friendly environment. Room darkening shades, soothing colors, no bright or stimulating mobiles. White noise or fan can help drown out other sounds. Music can be used to set the mood, but don't let it run while baby is falling asleep and don't turn it back on if the baby wakes up during the night. Even though babies up to 8 weeks old are very portable and sleep wherever they are, it shouldn't be done all the time. A nice quiet crib will give them a more restful sleep. A bedtime routine is essential by 6 weeks old. It is easier in the beginning - warm bath, dimly lit room, feed and swaddle. As they get older, add stories to the routine. The routine is very important because it cues their brain to slow down after a busy day.
8. Carefully think through the whole question of co-sleeping and the family bed. Evaluate if it's right for you. Know the co-sleeping safety rules. Short term co-sleeping is ok as long as you make the transition to the crib around 3 months...it will be much harder the longer you wait. If the baby is in a bassinet in your room, move to their own room around 3 months. You may sleep in their room with them for a few days while they get adjusted to the new environment. You can get a monitor to keep yourself from worrying about them being alone. If you co-sleep make sure baby naps in their crib alone. They can't get used to you being there all the time to get to sleep...obviously there will be times when they have a sitter, you have another baby, or you are taking a shower. You want their room to be a familiar place to them. The crib will teach them to put themselves to sleep and is also safer than being alone in a bed. Reactive co-sleeping is very bad! This is when you put the baby to sleep in their crib but bring into the parent's bed when they wake up at night. The child will not learn how to sleep on their own and this can last for years. There are other ways to get your child back to sleep without bringing them into your bed.

THE SLEEP LADY SHUFFLE
Lets you be a comforting presence to a child learning to put themselves to sleep in a crib. You start by his side and gradually move out of the room over a 2 week period.
Nights 1-3: Sit in a chair next to the crib. If he fusses, stroke or pat on & off, try not to pick him up unless extremely upset (does not apply to a baby who is sick or scared). Keep it brief and return to the crib awake. Don't do anything stimulating. Can make shh or other soothing sounds. Stay until he falls asleep.

Nights 4-6: Move chair halfway between the crib & door. Stay in chair if possible, don't pick him up unless he's hysterical. Use your voice to calm him down.

Nights 7-9: Move chair to the doorway but within his view. Intervene as little as possible.

Nights 10-12: Move chair into hallway within view if possible.

Night 13 and on:
Most babies will fall asleep on their own by now. You can stay in the hall or a nearby room if he likes to hear your voice. If he cries, you can go to the bedroom door to soothe him but don't go into the room. Also don't rush right in, give him a chance to calm himself down.

Check back next week for part 2 of Heather's review

Sleepy Wrap Review

The following is a review on the Sleepy Wrap from Tracy over at What's On Mommy's Mind. Hop on over to check out what she has to say!

"I love my Sleepy Wrap! Danielle from New Mommy Rant sent me one for baby Stella. I've never worn a baby before and was a little intimidated when I unwrapped this HUGE piece of material for the first time. Luckily the directions were super easy to read and complete with pictures. Within minutes Stella was snug as a bug in the wrap and fast asleep! Better yet was the fact that I had two free hands! We use the wrap on a daily basis whether on the beach, out for a walk or just trying to take a nap without being smothered in hugs and kisses my big sister Madison! I love that this wrap will grow with Stella and can be used even when she is a toddler. Like I said before I'm still new to babywearing but as for right now this is my gear of choice. I also have a well known brand of baby sling and I'm just not as comfortable using it. This may be because I have one that is too large for me or because Stella is still so tiny but I just don't feel safe when she is in it. I don't have a second thought for Stella's safety when she is in the wrap. I love it so much that I purchased one through Heavenly Hold for a friend who just had a baby! In case you didn't get my point yet I love, love, love my Sleepy Wrap!"

So stop over SLEEPY WRAP to get yours today! You won't be sorry!!

So, I recently received some great things from Gramma's Baby Stuff that I just love, love, love!! Gayle really is a great lady.. She is a gramma to 2 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and a step-grandson...She also has a brand new grandaughter arriving this Fall!!

Based out of Alaska she started out by creating and sewing things to amuse her grandchildren. She also has many one-of-a-kind items and all home-made..

Check out the following things she sent me..

Gramma's Minky Security Blanket - handmade right in Alaska! She uses quality, warm, soft, and cuddly "minky" material with satin binding!! One of the softest materials I've ever felt! The security blanket is 18 x 18 and is small enough for your little one to carry around with them.. They are so nice and too cute!! Perfect for you little one to snuggle with!
Here is a great "Whatever Leash".. They can hang onto blankets, stuffed animals, or "whatever." A plastic alligator clip on both sides is attached securly to both sides of the ribbon. Check out the site for lots of different colors and patterns..
Now this happens to be my favorite item.. And i recommend this to everyone... It is a sure way to keep your little one busy (with supervision ofcourse). It is the "I SPY" Bag! They are about 8 x 8 polar fleece square with a circle or square pattern with a clear vinyl window on one side of the bag. (all bags are double stiched to secure the contents!
Inside the bag is 44 to 48 small "I Spy" items to find by manipulating the bag to move the plastic beads around and the items..
On the back of the bag is a printed fabric label saying "Can You Find A...."
Then all of the items in the bag are listed....
If you want, you can also get themed bags... You just need to contact Gayle and tell her what you are interested in.. There is an additional charge, but very well worth it... What's better then a personalized "I Spy" Bag!?! They really are soo great.... I even enjoyed playing with it!! Check it out for your little ones.. They are amazing and could make a great gift!!

An A+++ for Batman

Let me start off by saying that The Dark Knight was AWESOME....This movie will truly big the Blockbuster Hit of the Summer(maybe even of the year). It was really that good..

Even if you're not a Batman Fanatic (like Brian & myself) you will totally l.o.v.e this film... It truly was a masterpiece... Christian Bale was fantastic and Heather Ledger was out of this world.... He truly left an unforgetable performance.. It left me truly amazed...

The only thing that we weren't crazy about was Maggie Gyllenhaal who played Batman's long time love, Rachel Dawes.. She is a very good actress, but I feel she lacked sex-appeal! You think of Bruce Wayne as a handsome, Playboy, Bachelor.... And naturally you think of him having a beautiful chick on his arm.. But that she wasn't... I mean she isn't ugly by any means, she just lacked something in the appeal factor to me...

A little Back Story if you didn't already know:
The follow-up to the action hit 'Batman Begins,' 'The Dark Knight' reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and the committed new District Attorney, Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham City for good. The triumvirate initially proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces The Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger portrays arch-villain The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart plays District Attorney Harvey Dent. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast in the role of Rachel Dawes. Returning from 'Batman Begins' are Gary Oldman as Lieutenant Jim Gordon; Oscar winner Michael Caine as Alfred;
and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.

The action in The Dark Knight was vastly superior to Batman Begins in every way, shape and form. And we’re not just talking about fight scenes either. The movie has chases and crashes and fight scenes and non-stop action throughtout the entire movie...as this movie begins, the clean-up efforts by Batman and district attorney Harvey Dent have infuriated Gotham's criminals, who are escalating their efforts and working together to spread corruption throughout the community so that no one trusts anyone. A man with a mask can be anyone -- or more than one. Copycat Batmans (Batmen) are showing up with something the real Batman never carries -- guns. "That wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I said I wanted to inspire people," Wayne says. The line between justice and vengeance is blurring.

If I were you, I'd go and check it out!! This film grossed
18 million 489 thousand dollars($18,489,000) in the first 12:01 AM show.. Most movies are happy to have that in their opening weekend!! I am so looking forward to see what the over total for opening weekend will be!!
If you did go see the movie what did you think?

DVD GIVEAWAY

I was recently in contact with Paul Boese who is an award winning TV producer and director. He sent me a copy of his DVD, called
Under Construction to review..

I watched it, and also had the kids in my Summer program watch it and they LOVED it(SO DID I)!! It is a short DVD, hosted by the very attractive Charlie the Construction Worker, about five of the most widely used construction vehicles. Each vehicle is explained and spelled on screen, and is featured for several minutes so the children really get to see how the equipment works. I really loved that the video doesn't just show a quick picture of the equipment. It really gives the children time to see the construction vehicle in action! It also has this great sing along song that is very catchy and the chidren will love, I know mine did! By the end of the DVD the little ones were happily singing along to the song! Also, it was the perfect length, the children sat for the entire program,
seeming interested in all of it.. Some of the boys even asked if I could play it again - it was really cute!

Here is A little bit about Under Construction :
Under Construction was developed by award winning TV producer and director, Paul Boese, who brings his 15 years of film and television experience to the Under Construction Video Series. As a producer for PBS documentaries and television programming including The Oprah Winfrey show, Paul is committed to quality and educational programming for children. "I saw that my nieces and nephews loved construction vehicles but weren't given an opportunity for personal discovery from the videos that were already on the market so I decided to create something that lets them discover, learn and experience these vehicles on their own at a more realistic pace."

I give this short, educational DVD an A+.... And feel that children will love the action of the construction vehicles and the music...

Under Construction is an entertaining, educational and fun way for your child to safely watch learn and listen about real construction
vehicles at work! Click here to get your own copy of

E.L.F.

So I recently tried out this new brand of make-up called E.L.F. (which stands for eyes, lips, face.) The make-up was really nice and it is very, very afforadble! All of the make-up is $1.00.... Yes, that's right ladies the make-up is $1.00, even the brushes! My favorite products happen to be the hypershine lip glosses, the eye make-up remover pads, and the Shine Eraser (which absorbs oil & shine - mattifies skin - and is a pore minimizer).

Take a look at their philosophy:

In today’s world, beauty and wellness go hand in hand – it’s a holistic approach that places good health and wellbeing at the center of what it means to be truly beautiful. Beauty comes from feeling and being your best, an inner confidence that translates to the outer-world as attractiveness. e.l.f.’s philosophy is that beauty comes from within and it's our goal to enable every woman to look and feel her personal best through the perfect blend of both the inner and outer person. With that goal in mind, e.l.f. cosmetics was born – a line of simple, luxurious, problem-solution tools that allow you to showcase and believe in your unique, personal beauty. Our cosmetics are designed to improve and accentuate the individual, not hide her away. We at e.l.f. believe that innovative technology, quality ingredients and superb delivery systems should not be limited to prestige retailers. Every woman should have the opportunity to participate in innovation, without sacrificing her budget. We hope you agree and invite you to experience e.l.f.’s revolutionary, value-priced cosmetics and the proven results they offer.

I would say that if you are looking for new products to try check out E.L.F.! You can get so many great products for such a low cost!!

Because Moms (and Dads) Are Rock Stars!

So I recently received an awesome sling from Rockin' Baby Sling and I tried it out this weekend when I went up to visit Eliza! She seemed to love it just as much as I did! I received the reversible #170"Across the Universe"
Turquoise Circles & Diamonds / Green with Silver Aluminum Rings - 100% Cotton. The cotton is not only very thick and durable but extremly stylish!

Rockin Baby Slings are awesome! I recommendmthis brand to everyone! They are a socially conscious 2 Mom Shop that works hard to create quality, hip slings and puches that are useful, beautiful, and easy on people and the planet! All of the products are made in Los Angeles and they also donate a percentage of their profits to charity! Also, each box that the slings and puches come in are made of 99% post-consumer recycled paperboard and are printed with vegetable oil-based inks.

This sling that I received can be worn in 5 differnt carrying positions and hold a child up to 40 pounds. The slings is adjustable while it is on and has a tail with a pocket that can be used to cover up while you nurse your baby.. The pocket is also great for storing a few items for short trips if you don't feel like bringing a diaper bag...The sling comes pre-washed, but can be machined washed and put in the dryer on a low setting.
Check out the pics below of Eliza and I in the Rockin' Baby Sling!!!

She is one happy baby when she is in the sling.
She really seems to love being in the sling and held close to your body!
I recommend the Rockin' Baby Sling!!
