Why Rich Parents Need To Get A Clue and There Kids Need To Get Their Asses Kicked!

Somewhere, a father in Melbourne weeps. There were 16 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradales imported to Australia and New Zealand. There are now 15. A proud dad gave his son the keys to his so-rare-it's-almost-extinct Ferrari, and his son got a little too frisky with the audacious redhead. She didn't appreciate his advances, he lost control of the situation, and that little redhead introduced him to a pole... at a high rate of speed by the looks of it.

And as if that didn't beat all, the kid had to call home. While news crews watched. And filmed. Only to have newspapers and blogs spread the story around the world. No word on what his father said, but it probably rhymed with "Why I oughta @#%$*&%!"

i didn't hear this exact story but i'm not surprised...kids have no respect for anything. my child is getting some kind of crappy used car till they can prove they deserve something better.

i wonder if there will be any teal paseos or purple saturns around that they can drive LOL

That is why you make kids buy their own car with money they worked for. Worked for me and I appreciated what I had!

I didn't hear this story but I think in general kids are handed whatever they want anymore. Wow that makes me sound old! I just know that my husband and I have had to work for everything that we have while younger members of our family are not only given everything but expect it. I've been dying to blog about this but I'm not sure if any members of the fam read my blog and I don't want to 'cause that particular fight. If you want to continue this topic Sweet 16 are a great place to start 'cause they are OUT OF CONTROL lately and are my current bone of contention. Sorry I'm just venting!

That is why teenagers and cars are scary. After his parents finished hugging him, being thanful he was alive, they probably kicked his butt!

But, really I think it's just as much the parents fault- you don't give an inexperienced teenage boy a fast car like that.

I never heard about this. Sad for both the parents and kid. And really sucky that the car ended up looking like that.

Even when I was a teenager, it pissed me off when a friend would get a new car. I was given a beat up 1980s Mercedes (which was NOT nice) six months after I started driving. And wasn't allowed to have a car at college until the second semester.
