T.G.I.F.

All I have to say is T.G.I.F.

You have NO IDEA what kind of week I had! Let me give you a recap:

~I was on the playground and a little girl in my friends class (she teaches a 2/3 year old class)started to cry because she fell so I picked her up and she peed all over me. On my new shirt, on my capri pants, down my leg, and on my shoes and feet. (Great, right?) To make it worse I couldn't go home because I had Parent/Teacher Conferences scheduled all day. I had to go to the bathroom, soap up my clothes, wash my leg & foot. Then I lysol'd myself just to make sure.. YUCK! This actually happened to me twice this year - I told my friend from now on I'm going
to let her kids cry.. Hey's it's better then getting peed on!

~About 3 months ago I ordered tadpoles for my class. We got them while they were still in their sac - they were such tiny little babies when we got them. Over the past 3 months I nurtured those things like they were my children, changing the water everyday, using bottled water(or else they'd die), feeding them, etc!! My class is very attached to them. Every weekend a child gets to take them home to babsit them. So, I took a personal day on Monday because I just needed the R&R - I come back early Tuesday morning to find ALL of our tadpoles DEAD!! My substitute took it upon herself to change their water - and used Tap water which killed them.. I was sooo upset. My boss had to run out and buy new ones or else my kids would have been heartbroken. Unfortunately, my boss couldn't get ones that were the same size -the ones she got were almost double in size - my kids still can't believe how much they grew overnight!! LOL!! Thank god they're in Kindergarten!

~Then Wednesday around 2 pm one of my kids threw-up all over the desks. He threw up in his desk, on 2 other students, on the carpet, do I need to go on. It was horrible! And can you believe this - his Mom brought him back to school the next day.. So I stood up for myslef and told her she had to bring him home. In my school we have an ilness policy - NO fever or vomitting within the last 24 hours. She said, "well he only threw up a little and he hasn't thrown up sice yesterday afternoon." HELLO? Keep your kid home and let him rest.. But I won, she took him home! But she did bring him back yesterday with a yellow & green runny nose.. Thank god for Vitamin C, lysol, and handsanitizer!

So again - T.G.I.F.!! I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. I'm gonna visit my gorgeous niece Eliza and my best friends Danielle & Pete. Sunday Brian & I are going to sleep in make breakfast in bed, and watch movies all day!

I need it after the week I had...

Seriously, don't bring them back. They are contagious!

I'm sorry, what type of karmic havesting are you into. Just kidding!

Vomit & being peed, not funny at all.

I have once pick up my daughter from sch & she was smelling vomit coz her friend just vomited on her.And i have a weak stomach on it so, i start vomiting too.

With being peed, i finish on it.They all know where's the toilet is and how to used it.

You do deserve a rest. & BRAVO!!!

Ps: Thanks for your comment. and i did some mistake on deleting,too.Sorry.

I have a fun story to share. I graduated from college in December, so I decided to substitute teach until I landed a permanent position. My very first substituting job was in a Kindergarten classroom. I was reading a story to the class, and a little girl asked to go to the bathroom. I gave her the pass and sent her on her way. A few minutes later, she was back in the room crying and talking about "the runs." I turned her around, only to discover that she had shit her pants. Damn kindergarteners!

Wow! Since I used to teach pre-k I have had some very similar experiences.... not all in one week though. UGH! I guess you're glad it's time to relax all weekend!!

(I assume you have a change of clothes stashed in your car now, right?)

I feel like if it was all over multiple desks, then that's more than "just a little" vomit.

Aw! That is such a fantastic idea for a project with kids. I kind of wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. Still kind of do!
