Oh Fudge!

Awhile back I put up a post called ** This Keeps Me Going** check it out if you haven't already read it!
Most of you know by now that I am a kindergarten teacher! And we all know kids say the darndest things, right?
The other day in school I was giving my students there 1st math test. Sounds simple right? Since this was the 1st test I had given them and probably the 1st test for most of them ever I went over proper test taking rules!! Ya know, like no talking during the test - no trying to look at your friends paper(eventhough I split them up), raise your hand if you have a question, etc.... Just went over the basics!
So I start reading the questions and after I read the 1st question on of my kids starts quitely singing something about being "sexy." I brushed it off and told him to be quite... A few seconds later again and now louder he said something about someone being "sexy." So I stopped the test and told him that "sexy" was an inappropriate word for him to be using and to stop! Now all of the kids start in saying that "sexy" is a bad word, and that their moms say "sexy" is soooo bad, etc.... As I am quiting down my class I noticed that the child was getting a little upset and angry that the other kids kept telling him "sexy" was a bad word. As he proceeds to tell them that "sexy" isn't a bad word, but that "fu*k" is a bad word!! I almost died - it was sooooo funny!! I slapped my hands over my mouth as another child looked at me and said, "he's in trouble now!"
I had to do pull him out of class and talk to him about never, ever saying that word! He cried and begged me not to tell his mother! LOL.. I sent him to get a drink of water to calm down... He came back into the classroom and we proceeded to finish the test! Afterwards, he said to me, "you want to hear a funny word?" I said no and that I thought he said enough for the day!!!
This reminded me of the movie The Christmas Story! I loved that movie!!
Remember when Ralphie said: ffffffffudge when his Dad was changing the tire... Now you know the kid in my class felt like Ralphie for the rest of the day...Just waiting for me to tell his mother!! It was too funny...

I'm A Screener

I'm sure I'm not the only one who screens their phone calls! If i don't know your number - then I'm not picking up the phone!! I guess it's because I do not want to be caught off guard and be forced to speak to someone I do not want to speak to, LOL.... So, I'm a screener - I screen my calls...

What I really hate is when someone calls me and I don't know the number and they don't leave a message! I immediately look up the number # with the reverse phone number look-up by clicking
Who's Number Is This ?

Pretty much because I'm dying to know who it is.. Most times it's wrong number,lol... But, It's pretty cool!!

I know I have registered my phone number with the No Call List, but I use "Whose # Is This? when someone calls I don't know their number.. Check it out!

What Do you Think?

I found vlane.com to be very informative! The website vLane enables consumers to make more informed vehicle purchasing decisions by providing tools for vehicle discovery and research. vLane is cool because it allows the shopper to connect with friends, family and other car shoppers and find valuable information about a car they would like to purchase during their car shopping experience. I know that I'm very interested in a 2000 Mercedes CLK. And postig this poll will help me make a better decision when it comes time to makig a purchase!

New Do

OK...... So I've been thinking for a LOOOOONG time now that I want to dye my hair dark!! I've never been dark at all..... I was born with bleach blond hair and was naturally light all the way through freshman year of college... Once I hit college I started to highlight my hair and loved the very, very light highlights! But for the last year or so I have really wanted to dye my hair dark like Reese Witherspoon in Walk The Line!! I love her hair color and she is very fair like I am and I think she looked great!!
Brian says I should go for it!! He said that I look great with blonde hair and he loves it on be but thinks I would look great with dark hair as well.. My mother on the other hand told me I wouldn't look good.. She also told me I would add 5 years of age to my look if I did it.. I just think she likes me as a blonde and wouldn't like the change!! I don't know..I wanted to do it before my brother's wedding but my hairdresser convinced me not to incase I hated it!! She said it would be very hard to get back my color because my hair is so light!!!
What do you think?? You think I'd age my look by dying my hair? You think I should go for it? I really want to but am soooo nervous I'd hate it.. And then it would be very expensive and a long process to get it back...I want a change.. I've had low lights, very very dark low lights and loved it with the blonde contrast!! But what if I loved it!?! I don't know!! Maybe I should go to a Halloween Store and try on a wig, LOL....

BLONDE?

Invitations By Heather

For the longest time now I've been meaning to tell you about my friend Heather's Buisness: Invitations By Heather! She is such a great friend and sooooo very talented! Heather recently opened her own side buisness making invitations, thank you cards, personalized labels, bridal & baby shower and wedding favors! Heather has been my lifesaver this past year - designing everything for me and my family! Check out so of the awesome stuff she has done!

First up - she printed up Brian's Surprise 30th Birthday Party invitations(That were a HUGE hit by the way)! Everyone loved them so much and couldn't believe how unique and costum they were. Heather really does spectacular work!
Heather also designed many of the items for my brother's wedding this past May! Remember, the one in Baltimore where I had a hard time with the bridesmaid dress!?! LOL... Anyway, Heather made cute stick on labels for the gift bags when the guests checked in to the hotel! They were so simple, yet cute! And very easy to apply! Very worth it!
Heather also designed my SIL's bridal shower favor which was a Hershey's Chocolate Bar! isn't it cute! And was very yummy!!

This was also the exact invitation(except for the phone #) that heather designed for my brother and SIL's rehearsal dinner down in MD! I looooved the blue stripes and the cute little couple on the front. So modern and stylish!

Heather also designed Brian's Thank You Cards which we are in the process of getting out as we speak! You know men, sheesh! They take forever! LOL.. Sorry i don't have the pictures of them up yet!

I have been sooo happy with Heather and her work I would recommend her to any and everyone! I love her stuff that much I want her to help me design my wedding invitations ( that is if Brian and I ever get hitched, LOL)

So check her out! Maybe your little one is having a 1st Birthday or your cousin is having a baby! Maybe your daughter is turning Sweet 16 or you just got married and want unique Thank You's! Heather will work with you and design the most perfect custom design for your occasion! You won't be sorry! wat are you waiting for go... Check her out!

PS - She's going to be designing Buisness cards for my Blog! How
corny cool am i?

Fingers Crossed For A New Bathroom

So Brian and I are thinking about moving if I get the new job! I did not want to talk about the new job – because like I said before; I don’t have great luck and I always feel good things don’t happen to me(I know poor unfortunate me, lol)! But if I do get it- moving to a bigger place will be definitely be up on the discussion board!

The one thing we’d like to do is get a bigger bathroom with a new Bathroom Vanity double vanity

I found these great Bathroom Vanities
: 60” Marble Top Double Vanity
that is to die for! I actually would like the whole set-up!

Check it out:

My bathroom would sure be a show-stopper with this piece. I found it online at Discount Bathroom Vanities Buy Vanities Online which is a premier online bathroom vanity retailer that allows you to shop tax free (unless you live in California, sorry). They are also offering free shipping now til December which is awesome! I know what you are probably thinking – I’d be crazy to buy such an expensive piece without viewing it first but they also offer a 14 day return policy which I think is pretty cool, especially if you do not like it when it arrives! How can you beat that?

So keep your fingers crossed for me! Maybe one day soon I’ll be moving to a bigger house with a much bigger bathroom that I can Double Vanity decorate beautifully!

This one is very similiar just different colors!

Check some cool stuff out here if you are interested in redecorating! I could shop and browse for my dream house all day long! And hey there is nothing better then Discount Bathroom Vanities!! Hopefully soon I'll have a reason to buy for a bigger house!! **BIG SIGH**

Kinda Cool

**The Following Is A Sponsored Post**
So I was recently shopping online to send flowers! And you all know me – I’m a deal finder! While surfing the web I came across this cool website called Click Smart. Click Smart helps connect consumers with small businesses! I think it’s a pretty great idea and good for someone like me who is always shopping online!

You always should do a little homework when using a business, especially for some kind of big purchase right? For example: if you lived in Jersey like me and decided you wanted to buy a house in San Antonio you could find San Antonio Realtors through Click Smart! It shows that all of the realtors are certified experts! That’s better than someone who’s not right?

Check it out: Realtors in San Antonio
So, click smart takes the guessing out of choosing the right real estate agent, insurance broker, cleaning services, florists, contractor, or even wedding vendors! They pretty much do your homework for you! Isn’t that just great!

That's Right I'm Not Talkin To You!

I don't think I speak my mind enough!

I think I've become one of those people who keep there mouth shut when something bother's them!?! But here's the funny part! I have NO problem whatsoever speaking my mind to strangers! A stranger pisses me off: I yell/talk back to them! I get cut in line: I push my way infront. Someone takes my parking spot: I find them in the grocery store and start an argument! You'd think I'd be nervous confronting strangers - I guess it's because I know I'll never see them again and the fact that they don't know me- what do I care what a starngers thinks right?!? LOl - I know I'm weird!

But, if one of my friends or loved one does something to piss me off I just relax and keep my lip zipped! I don't seem to have the guts to speak my mind - I kinda hold it in til I burst! And uaally, by that point someone else is feeling the wrath of my pent up anger!

Part of me feels I hold in my feelings because when i do speak my mind I usually end up in trouble! I, like many others I'm sure sometimes feel "why would something want to listen to me voice my problems or concerns," especially when most people have problems of their own! I usually end up letting the most insignificant things eat me up!
This really is the worst feeling!
A lot of times I have these thoughts in my head - and I talk out the situation but my heart pounds so much I can't bare to let the words slip out passed my lips! Don't you just hate the power of the brain? And ya know what I hate even more? The power of the heart!

The Hills

Dear Audrina,

Stop going behind Lauren's back while she's on vacation! What kind of best friend hangs out with her best friends enemy? I mean really! Don't pretend you didn't have fun and don't pretend that you didn't ask Heidi to go out to lunch! You're a traitor - how can you every be trusted?

~Dana

PS - you say you like to surround yourself with positive people! Did you check out that douche bag named Spencer that was sitting across from you? Real positive person! And your boyfriend Justin Bobby - his name is gay and he's a loser!

Dear Stephanie,

You can't be trusted! Your Spencer's sister! And no matter how much you try to convince people your a good, sweet girl you're not! A true friend doesn't go for her girl friends ex-fling! I don't care how long they dated, you should always ask 1st!

Love,
Dana

P.S. - did you ever hear of oil blotting sheets?

Dear Lauren,

I love you! You're so pretty and seem so nice and sweet! But please start having a better judgment in character when it comes to friends! If not - you'll be getting burned for the rest of your life!

Love you lots,
Dana

P.S - I think you're so pretty and very stylish!

Don't Hear Those Sleigh Bells

OK.... So I may not be able to hear those sleigh bells ring yet!
But one thing I do know the holiday times and holiday shopping will be here before we know it. The way time flies - I'll blink and it''ll be smack in the middle of shopping season!
So I was crusing online and I came across this cool website that the men in our lives may just love! It’s called L.A. Police Gear! Maybe your man is a police officer! Maybe your
hubby serves in the marines or your boyfriend is in the army.Maybe your
main squeeze just loves the army navy look.If so you should definitely check out this site!
Or we all know this is a possibility - maybe your man just thinks they're tough, cause we all know they think they're tough, right?

L.A. Police Gear, Inc. was founded by Los Angeles area Police Officers. Their business has grown and changed greatly over the years and now serves the general public, military personnel, security professionals, and of course police officers or basically anyone else who is interested in this type of apparel! You’ll be able to find fast shipping, low prices, and outstanding service at L.A. Police Gear.

JOB UPDATE Part Dos

so I know you all have been waiting for my 2nd job interview update (lol, just kidding)! OK... so it went really, really well.. I made sure I was extremely prepared and even gathered together a list of questions that I wanted to have answered. The interview lasted about 40 minutes! I have a good feeling about it, eventhough I am really trying not to get to excited about anything yet. The next step in the process would be a final interview at the facility by an HR rep! The lady I spoke with told me to expect to hear something in about 2 weeks, give or take a lil and that the job wouldn't start until mid-November.

I also asked how many people they were interviewing..(I'm not sure if I mentioned this prior, but THEY found ME! I have my resume posted on 2 different job websites and they found it and called me for the available position! Kinda cool, right?) So anyway, they said so far they had 50 applicants and that I was 1 of 4 who are up for the job! I think that is pretty good odds.

I think the job has the potential to be very interesting and rewarding! I think that teaching children that have some emotional and mental problems also has the possibility for being very difficult! That is something that I have to think about also if I am offered the job! The lady that interviewed me also did say that I would never be left alone with the students and that I would have a male mental health supervisor with me at all times! There is also a phone in the room that goes directly to the front desk and (this is what spooked me a lil, but not too much) that there is a panic button on the desk! She gave me the example: it is there incase a student trys to stab you through the neck with a pen falls and hurts themselves and starts to bleed! I would be able to hit the panic button and help would come instantly for the child!

The good thing is that my salary has the potential to more then double and I would have full benefits, completely paid for! My day would only consist of teaching for 4 hours a day - 2 in the early morning and 2 in the early afternoon! The rest of my day would consist of educational reports, contacting public schools and preparing lesson plans. I thought it was pretty cool! But like I said - we'll see! I'm just going to go about my buisness and continue working at my present job! I mean I love my present job - but I also need to think about my personal security financially! I want to get married and buy a house and double the salary is a great start! And like I mentioned I am not going to get excited until there is something to get excited about! Who knows - I may not even want the job, right?(eventhough I kinda really do**BIG SIGH**)
What do you think!?!

JOB UPDATE

ok.... so my phone interview went very well! It lasted about 35-40 minutes.. She asked me a ton of questions, which I had great answers to, thankfully! We spoke for awhile about different situations, my qualifications, and some duties of the job. At the end of the interview she said they would be intouch about a 2nd phone interview with a supervisor after they discussed the intial interview. Sure enough - they called me last night around 6 o'clock to schedule a 2nd interview (which will be tonight at 6pm)! So i guess it's going well.. I have some more questions to ask because I have some concerns also.. But I am very happy - this has the potential to be something very, very good
for me right now! We'll see! Keep your finger's crossed & wish me luck!
I will keep you posted!

Potential Job

OK - so today at 3:45 I have a preliminary phone interview for a new teaching job. The job sounds kind of interesting - not your typical school job. The job is for a teaching position within a medical center. I would be teaching children between the ages of 5 and 17 (at different times ofcourse). The children have problems with depression and bipolar disorder. The interesting thing is that the children have a fast turnover rate! They only stay at the medical center on average for 7 days. And the class size is about 12 - 14 children at a time.. I am very intrigued and hope that i find out more valuable info. I think this could be a good change, plus more money and health benefits!! So..... Wish me luck!!

Sleepy Wrap Review

The following is a review on the Sleepy Wrap from Tracy over at What's On Mommy's Mind. Hop on over to check out what she has to say!

"I love my Sleepy Wrap! Danielle from New Mommy Rant sent me one for baby Stella. I've never worn a baby before and was a little intimidated when I unwrapped this HUGE piece of material for the first time. Luckily the directions were super easy to read and complete with pictures. Within minutes Stella was snug as a bug in the wrap and fast asleep! Better yet was the fact that I had two free hands! We use the wrap on a daily basis whether on the beach, out for a walk or just trying to take a nap without being smothered in hugs and kisses my big sister Madison! I love that this wrap will grow with Stella and can be used even when she is a toddler. Like I said before I'm still new to babywearing but as for right now this is my gear of choice. I also have a well known brand of baby sling and I'm just not as comfortable using it. This may be because I have one that is too large for me or because Stella is still so tiny but I just don't feel safe when she is in it. I don't have a second thought for Stella's safety when she is in the wrap. I love it so much that I purchased one through Heavenly Hold for a friend who just had a baby! In case you didn't get my point yet I love, love, love my Sleepy Wrap!"

So stop over SLEEPY WRAP to get yours today! You won't be sorry!!

Ever Wonder?

Have you ever wondered about your neighbor, the babysitter you hired to watch your children, or about the good-looking single guy you met in a bar? Is he really single? Well, I’m always cruising around online and I came across this website Complete Public Records. Complete Public Records provides free public records by searching the largest public records search database on the World Wide Web. You can search public records and find out about marriages or divorces, births and deaths, even court and criminal records. I know sometimes I love to snoop, I think we are all guilty of this sometimes, lol….

Tatsy Tuesday

Change of Pace today..... Since school is back in session i thought it would be fun for me to post some good lunch ideas your little ones can bring to school.. Check 'em out! Also, check out Danielle for another Tasty Tuesday!

Serving healthy snacks to children is important to providing good nutrition, supportinlifelong healthy eating habits, and helping to prevent costly and potentially-disablingdiseases, such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity.
Snacks play a major and growing role in children’s diets.
SNACKS
Applesauce (Unsweetened), Fruit Cups, and Canned Fruit – These have a longshelf life and are low-cost, easy, and healthy if canned in juice or light syrup.Examples of unsweetened applesauce include Mott’s Natural Style and Mott’sHealthy Harvest line. Dole and Del Monte offer a variety of single-serve fruitbowls.
Dried Fruit - Try raisins, apricots, apples, cranberries, pineapple, papaya, andothers with little or no added sugars.
Frozen Fruit – Try freezing grapes or buy frozen blueberries, strawberries,
peaches, mangoes, and melon.
Fruit Leathers – Some brands of fruit snacks are more like candy than fruit, and should be avoided due to their high content of added sugars and lack offruit. Brands to avoid include Fruit Rollups, Farley’s Fruit Snacks, Sunkist FruitGems, Starburst Fruit Chews, Mamba Fruit Chews, Jolly Rancher Fruit Chews,Original Fruit Skittles, and Amazin’ Fruit Gummy Bears. Try Natural Value FruitLeathers and Stretch Island Fruit Leathers, which come in a variety of flavors
and don’t have added sugars.
Fruit Salad – Get kids to help make a fruit salad. Use a variety of colored fruitsto add to the appeal.

Dips – Try low-fat salad dressings, like fat-free Ranch or
Thousand Island, store-bought light dips, bean dips,
guacamole, hummus (which comes in dozens of flavors),
salsa, or peanut butter.
Salad – Make a salad or set out veggies like a salad bar and let the kids buildtheir own salads.
Soy - Edamame (pronounced “eh-dah-MAH-may”) are fun to eat and easy toserve. (Heat frozen edamame in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes).
Veggie Pockets – Cut whole wheat pitas in half and let kids add veggies withdressing or hummus.
Ants on a Log – Let kids spread peanut butter on celery (with a plastic knife)and add raisins.
HOPE THIS HELPS AND H+GIVES YOU SOME IDEAS
WITH YOUR KIDS LUNCH!!
EAT & ENJOY!!

2 cup olive oil
2 garlic cloves chopped
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan

Directions
Heat the oil in a heavy small skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute until tender and fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove the skillet from the heat and cool. Set aside 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan cheese and stir the rest into the garlic mixture, along with the parsley and salt.
Cook the corn in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Using tongs, transfer the corn to a platter. Brush the cheese mixture over the hot corn and serve. Sprinkle the remaining 2 tablespoons of cheese on top of the corn.
